The latest release from azurewave is the PS4 PlayStation 4 controller. This new controller is available for download as of April 14th, 2015.
I’m not sure I’m convinced yet this is the best controller out there. I feel like the PS3 controller was a step up from the Wii controller because it has a better range of motion and a simpler button layout. However, it also felt a tad too simple. Also, the fact that it can only run azurewave at a 60hz refresh rate, and thus can run at the same speed as the Xbox controller, is a little less than ideal.
Not that you can’t use your Xbox controller to play games on your PS4 controller, but the controller does have to be updated to run azurewave at 60hz, which means using a higher refresh rate will slow down things. I don’t think it’s a deal breaker for many people, but I do think it’s an annoyance for others.
For people who are already set on using the PS4 controller, there are some games that you can play with the on-board controller. Like many modern games, it’s only possible if you have a PS4, which means you will need to use a console that has a controller or a PS4, XBox, or Wii controller.
For people who don’t have a console, there are other games that you can play by playing via the PS4’s controller, such as those that are available on the PS4’s online store. But there are other games that you can play with the on-board controller. I have been using the Xbox 360 controller with my PS4 for a few years now and it doesnt work with the on-board controller.

With the on-board controller it is possible to play games with a variety of console controllers through the PSN account. I have played a few games with the Xbox 360 controller and Xbox Wireless Controller, and I really like the Xbox Wireless Controller. It’s a bit larger, but it’s got a lot of the same buttons as the Xbox Wireless Controller, plus two joysticks.
The Xbox 360 controller is much more comfortable and better positioned for use with the PS4 controller. Also, you can play with the PS4 controller while in a controller-holding mode on the Xbox 360 controller. Of course, you can still use the on-board controller with the PS4 controller if you want.
The PS4 controller is the least comfortable controller I have ever used. It feels like an oversized, floppy toy. The Xbox 360 and PS3 controllers feel more like they’ve been designed for someone their own age and are designed to be played with hands.
