candle making in san diego

My home is a small, single-story home in San Diego’s East Village. I am fortunate to have two bedrooms and a full bathroom downstairs. I have a beautiful and unique space that allows me to create a world of my own. As such, I love to do just about anything on my own terms.

It’s not just me. I know that I can’t paint my home, and my husband is a painter. We have a few friends who also paint so we decided to do so together. The goal was to produce a beautiful wall in a very small amount of time, and the first step was to create a wall of candle sticks. Now, I have to admit that I haven’t done this in a while, but I do know that it’s possible.

Well, I have to admit that I havent done this in a while as well. In fact, I have only done it once in my life. It was a few years ago, and I was at a candle making workshop, and I was just so excited to see what I was going to create that I didnt notice my hand was already starting to sting. So I said “Oh, okay, I guess I have to do it now.” So I did.

I’ve been known to put my candle making skills to use for work. The one time I did, I spent a few hours building shelves in my basement for a new countertop. I think I spent more time on the counterthan on the shelf. I wanted to make sure the countersitewerent just going to be a little something, but I was determined to make the countersomething that would last forever.

To be fair, I think a lot of us are into candles and candle making in our lives for a reason. There is something about creating these things that we connect with. I mean, its the exact same kind of feeling to think about a new dish that you’ve been sitting on and wondering when you’re going to use it or to think you’re going to cook a big dinner and find you don’t have the time to make it yourself.

Candle making was started many years ago by my mom, my grandmother, and I. My mom started when she was a little girl and my grandmother began when she was a little girl too. We all went on a hunt for the perfect candles that we thought were the right color and the perfect light. We would ask ourselves, “What would I like to see when I am sitting around the table?” and then we would just fill our house with them for a few weeks.

The candles were always on the top of our list at Christmas time. Of course, we were always looking for something new to put on the tree. We would find a candle that burned perfectly and we would be so happy and then we would put it on the top of the tree and make sure to make sure it was there. We would have a huge tree in the living room and make sure to have enough candles on the tree so that we didn’t have to share anymore.

Candle making is still a huge part of the holiday spirit in San Diego.

To make sure our candles would burn for a long time and stay lit, we would keep a supply of them in our home. We would make sure to keep them in the kitchen, in the bathroom, in the hallways, in the basement, wherever we could. We would make sure to keep them in a glass jar so they didn’t dry out, which is the worst.
