Glass blocks are one of my favorite things to make. Not just because I love them but because I get to use them and they go way beyond the mundane and make my life easier. I love the different textures, colors, and shapes they create.
There are a lot of craft projects out there, but I really like making some of my own. I don’t always get to do the big glass block stuff, especially when it’s just me and a couple of mugs of coffee. But once in a while I’ll get to make something special. That’s what got me thinking about glass block crafts.
Thats right, I have one.
I know, its glass blocks. But you can change the color or change it up a bit. I dont really care. I just like them. The more colorful the better. I do have to say though that the idea that you could change the color of these glass blocks without changing the shape of them is pretty awesome. I would love to make a few different shapes of glass blocks and make them into different sized and shaped mugs. That would be pretty cool.
So I was thinking about some glass blocks I have in my garage. I have some old glass bottles in there as well. So if I could find some glass bottle caps that were colored like glass, and I could just paint them to match the glass bottle, I would have a cool little project. I like it though, so I would like to share it.
It’s a fun way to do some DIY. There are so many ways to do it, and it won’t cost you too much. Just get a few bottles of paint and some brushes and you’re good to go. Just take the bottles of paint, and paint the bottles with glass bottle caps colored like the bottle.
Glass bottle caps are really easy to do, however when you’re looking for a really cool one, you’ll have to look beyond the standard colors, some of which are too bright, and some of which aren’t all that bright.
You can use the bottle caps with any non-toxic paint, and you can even use them with water, but I would recommend getting a bottle with a plastic top (and not a metal one) since the glass one is not the lightest. If you do want to make some bottles that are actually really heavy, check out this website, they are pretty awesome.
The cool thing about the glass bottle idea is that it looks like a glass bottle. It looks pretty cool, but you wont have to worry about it being very heavy. The downside is that it is not very durable because of the plastic tops, and you run the risk of blowing up your furniture when you throw it. But the upside is that you can turn any glass bottle into an awesome art piece.
Any time you see a glass bottle, you’ll think of one of these. If you want to make a nice looking bottle of something, you have to think glass. I think people should keep this in mind when designing a bottle.
