For the most part we all have these three levels, but they don’t necessarily correlate with one another. For instance, most of us are aware of our surroundings, but we’re not aware of other people. It’s true that many of us are aware of others’ surroundings while we’re aware of our surroundings, but that awareness doesn’t necessarily overlap.
So in order to help us all become better self-aware, we need to put our awareness on the highest level. After all, the only way that you can improve your awareness of yourself is by becoming better aware of yourself. We all need to learn to be more aware of our surroundings, but they need to be more aware of us and our surroundings.
How can you be more aware of yourself and your surroundings? How can you learn that you should be aware of others or not? This is a totally different topic for the rest of this book.

Your body is so complex, and your mind so chaotic that if you are not careful, you will be constantly checking out and reassessing everything you are doing. You need to be very very careful to ensure that you are keeping yourself healthy.
