Technology as we know it is a byproduct of the industrial revolution. It has made us more productive, but it has also made us more dependent on technology. We are now so dependent on technology that it has become our primary source of information and entertainment. We are no longer taught about our surroundings and that we are on this Earth for a purpose.

In that regard, it seems like we have become so dependent on technology that we have lost our sense of wonder. We are now so dependent on technology that we actually have lost our ability to truly learn, to truly see the world around us for what it is and what it can become.
