It was a cold winter day in the town of Dursley
The snow had been falling for days. The people were all huddled around their fires, trying to keep themselves warm as they listened to the ringing bells from the Church of Saint James. All that changed when a cloaked figure walked into town, her head bowed low under her hood. She didn’t take any notice of anyone else on the street; it seemed as if she were lost in thought until she reached one of the many old buildings that lined Main Street.
She stopped for a moment, and then lifted her head to look at the building. Her face was covered with an expression of horror and sadness that could be seen clearly through the half-open hood. She didn’t move from where she stood; it seemed like if she had been rooted in place by these terrible feelings. The cloaked figure took another step towards the door before turning again as if to leave but instead stumbled forward into someone who’d come up behind them on silent feet.
The person caught hold of their wrist tightly, spinning them around so they were looking back down Main Street with their back against the side of one of those old buildings.. They tightened their grip when they saw what might have caused this reaction across from Rahelia was born to a noble family in the far east.
