The elves were excited to have everyone come out for their practice.
When we arrived, we saw that only a handful of people had shown up. We started playing our instruments and warming up while waiting for the others to arrive but it was just us! The horn sounded off signaling the start of practice so we played our hearts out. It wasn’t long until some other elves showed up but it still felt empty in there with no one else around us.
A few days after our practice, the elves had a meeting to talk about how they felt. They all agreed that it was disappointing and discouraging that no one else showed up for their practice session.
Some of them even got upset because they thought maybe people didn’t want to be in elf band anymore or something like that but we quickly realized it’s just plain old disappointment. We also talked about what could have shifted this feeling from happening not having enough posts on social media? Not being at school often enough? Getting sick too much? All those things are possible! But knowing why will take some time so we’ll look into each possibility as soon as we can.
In the meantime, let’s get back practicing together next week and see if we can’t get our band back on track! The elf musicians were excited to meet up and talk about how they felt.
