I remember watching a documentary on the future of video last night. Pearson technology was one of the main players in this future. The future being video. We have the ability to record a video of ourselves performing a task. We can then share this video across the planet. This is a big deal because of the future we are talking about.
Pearson technology would allow television viewers to share their own video. This would be a big deal because a television is basically a video recorder. As technologies change and as data traffic gets more intense, the ability to share your own work with others becomes more important. As technology gets better and better, so to do this becomes even more important.
Pearson has a patent pending on a technology that would allow this to happen right now, by the way. This patent is pending because, in the real world, it’s not always so easy for a company to get patents on things that will really be useful. It takes a lot of effort to make something that will be useful to the economy, and it’s not always easy to get a patent on something that won’t cost that much.
While you might think a good idea like this could never be patented, its actually not that hard to patent. The US Patent office even has a website that explains what companies get approved to patent. Just like the Google patents you might think would never be granted, it is easier to get a patent on something like this. And if they were, you can bet that they would be a lot more effective than anything Google has.
Pearson is a company that focuses on creating “smart” devices for smart homes. While it’s not exactly a smart home, its not exactly a smart phone either. It is a self-aware device that has a bunch of sensors and a microcontroller. The idea is that these devices will help you track and identify your home, and then alert you when something is out of place or going wrong if you’re not paying careful attention.
