We all want to take pride in what we do, but even if you’re not the type of person who appreciates the hours you spend at the office, you have to consider the amount of work that goes into any job. If you’re in a position where you’re putting in a lot of hours, there’s a good chance you’ll find yourself making more money than you did before you started.
I hate to say that, but I have a friend who makes more money than I do, and they are in a position where they get paid more than I do. As a result, they have to work harder than I do to make the same amount of money.
This is a situation that can be a real issue in the long run, whether or not its true. But, if youre in this position, you can stop feeling like youre making more than you would if you werent in the position, and start looking at how much you can make on the time that you spend. As a result, you can figure out ways to make more money, and reduce how much time you spend at the office.
A colleague of mine recently had a similar situation. He worked at an office that gave him the sense that he was doing a lot more than he actually was. He also enjoyed his job, but felt like there was a lot of time spent at work that he did not actually get to do. Over the course of several months, he tried to figure out what was going on with his boss.
There was a lot of work that was not being done and a lot of time that was spent at work that was not being spent at work. However, he was able to figure it out and reduce the amount of time he spent at work by getting a little bit of help. He also started to see that he could make money from the time he spent at work.
