I love the idea of eating dinner one day a week and st patrick’s day the next. It’s my way of keeping the week organized so that I don’t forget anything. I also like it because it forces me to focus on something and it is only one day a week so I don’t have to make an effort to fit it in.
The nail idea is one of the easiest ways to keep things organized in your life. For people that dont have a lot of time, the idea of st patricks day is the easiest way to schedule a task, but for those that are on a very tight deadline, the idea of eating dinner a day a week is a much more effective option.
The idea of eating dinner a day a week has a few advantages. It’s easy to fit it in, it forces you to think about something, and it’s a very effective way to organize your life. But also, it is a great opportunity to catch up on some reading.
The problem I have with this is that most people are looking at it from the perspective that this is a hard hard deadline and they are getting a very specific number of hours to achieve it. But this isnt true. Sometimes you need to get out of your routine to do things that are hard, but not completely impossible. Sometimes you need to do something that may be considered odd, but is not inherently crazy. This has been my struggle.
If you are trying to force yourself towards something, then you are going to get frustrated if you don’t achieve your goal. Or you may just choose to do something that you think would be weird or crazy and you end up doing something else that you probably shouldn’t. This is exactly the case in my life.
This is exactly what I am doing. I have been trying to force the habit of spending all of my time doing things that are hard, but not completely impossible. For example, I decided that this week I would try to do something like play in an NFL game with my boys. But I am having a lot of trouble with the game. I’m not sure if it is because I am having trouble doing it or not, but it doesn’t look like I am having much success.
That is why I started this blog: to force myself to do things that I could not do before. I started it because I had no idea what I needed to do to get my life back on track. I wanted to get everything into perspective. I wanted to be less stressed out and more content with what I had been and what I was doing. I wanted to make myself happy again. I wanted to stop doing things that sucked me down so much.
I have to agree with you. I’ve been going through a similar struggle lately. I really want to be happier and have more fun all the time. I don’t want to do everything all the time. I’m tired of the “do this, the kids will be up” type of life. I think I have a few good ideas for ways to fix that, but I don’t know if I have the discipline to follow through with them.
Well, I don’t know about you, but I can’t just go out and do all the things I want to do all the time. I feel like I need to set priorities. Maybe this is the reason why I’m not able to enjoy myself as much as I’d like. I think it’s because I’m constantly thinking of things to do, but things that don’t really matter.
