You can’t make a great composition notebook by doing too much.
The biggest mistake artists make when creating a composition notebook is that they attempt to do too much. Artists who try to paint for hours on end, and draw for hours on end, are usually shooting themselves in the foot. Just because someone wants to paint for hours doesn’t mean they are ready to do so, or that they have a good idea about what they’re trying to do. They need to put in the time, and then just let the paint dry.
The best way to make sure your art is completely dry is to not have it on your desk. A good composition notebook needs to be on your computer, and if it gets on your desk it will ruin it.
This is a good point. You are painting for hours, doing a lot of drawing, and you get to the point where you feel like you have a good idea of what you are going to draw. If your notebook is on your desk, you cant take it off and start drawing again. So the best way to be sure your paint is totally dry is to put it on your desk, close your eyes, and take a minute to see what you are going to draw.

I’m trying to think of another reason why I like composition notebooks. This is the one that got me most excited to use them.
It’s actually a good rule of thumb to put your ink pen to paper when you are working on a commission. This is especially true in painting because if you don’t, you can’t see your brush. In the painting above, I used to put my pen to paper and wait for the ink to dry before I started writing the next line. That way, I could see where my brush was at all times.
The rule of thumb is to put your ink pen to paper. It is important because the ink will stay more fluid longer. As it dries, the ink can become too thin to see through. And the pen can be easily rubbed against the paper or left on the table for a while before you can see it. The same is true for your brush. If you put your brush on the paper and rub it against the ink you will have a harder time seeing through the ink.
The best composition notebook is one with a lot of open space. The more open the space, the easier it is to see. And the easier it is to see, the more effective it is. This is also true for your brushes. The more open a brush is, the more fluid the ink will be. This is a rule that I follow.
We’ve all been guilty of using our brushes the wrong way, especially since we got in touch with our brushes. But as a rule, the bristles on the brush should be as close to the surface of the paper as possible. That way, the ink can flow through the bristles and you will have a softer brush. The same is true with your brush. The closer to the surface the bristles are, the easier they will be to see through.
