I’m sure we all have an extra large letter in our email signature, but I’m going to bet we also have a lot of extra large letters in our email inboxes, Facebook feeds, and Twitter feeds. I’m not saying these are bad things, but I’m sure plenty of people have a lot of extra large letters and if they do, they probably don’t know it.
It’s an online signature. I know it’s not a bad thing, but it can be the equivalent of someone giving you a big fat, juicy, wet kiss on the lips.
I recently had a conversation with someone that told me that their email signature was too large for the computer and that they wanted to make it smaller.
I know how that sounds. If you want a signature that just doesn’t fit on a computer, then you need to make it smaller. Which might sound like a good idea, but it can actually cause problems if you don’t get it right. If you don’t get it right, you can end up with a signature that is too large for your computer screen, making it appear to be a text message on your computer.
The first rule of thumb when writing a signature is the same as the first rule of thumb against writing for a computer screen: Don’t write your signature on the computer. If it looks like a real text message, then you need to be sure that it’s not a text message.
The other rule of thumb is that writing on a computer screen is like writing on a wall. You can write with your finger or your pen, but you can never really get it to look like a real text message.
I’ve come to the conclusion that people usually write their text messages in big letters on the computer, and then they put their signature on the back and put an X in the corner. But I’ve found that writing the text message on the computer in large letters is like writing your signature on the back of a receipt. Sure, you can say, “Hey, this is a text message,” but it looks like a text message.
People often write messages that are too large to be read on the screen, and then they put a tiny little X in the corner and sign their name. But in this case, Ive found that people also write their text messages with the same effect with their initials. This is because both large and small text messages are treated like a text message, just with a little extra space between the text and the signature.
I think the first step in getting this right is to make sure that you’re writing the text message with your initials, not your full name. If you’re going to use your full name, make sure that there are no spaces between the text and the signature. If your name is too long, it may not be clear whether you signed your name or if the text is signed by you.
The easiest way to check whether you signed your name is to use a text editor like Notepad, which will show you whether your name is on the message. If you don’t see your name on the text, you might have signed your name in the text, or signed the text.
