I have to admit that I am a candle snob. I like all kinds of candles, but I am definitely a fan of the handmade variety. I’m always fascinated by the way all kinds of materials have different purposes and uses in the candle making process. There is a lot of mystery and creative ingenuity that goes into candle making.
I’ve been learning how to make candles for over a year now, and I am still learning more. I have tried to explain my candle making process to those who have asked, but honestly I’m just always curious about all the different ways that a candle makes its way through the process. I have learned that a lot of the candle making processes in this video are actually fairly standard, except that I use a little bit of each of them to learn how to make some very specific candles.
Candle making is a skill that you should definitely learn if you want to make the most beautiful candles in the world. The method that I use to make the most beautiful candles in this video is really simple. I start by using a simple wooden dowel to drill small holes into the bottom of the candle. Then I melt some wax (I use wax that is specifically designed for candles) in a small pot, which I then set inside the candle.
We’re talking about candles in the most literal sense of the word. But this is also an important lesson in candle making for people who want to make a beautiful candle. While it’s easy to make a candle using wax and alcohol, you’ll find that you often get better results with a better candle. I’m not saying use alcohol. I’m saying use wax.

It’s usually sold in clear gelatine or liquid form, but some brands can be made into a solid. Opal is not just for candles though, it can be used for so many things, from paint to paper.
