As you may have noticed, the idea of a hobby lobby is really new and has caused some consternation among the online gaming community. When I first heard about it, I thought it might be some sort of new online casino. The idea of online casinos being “cribs” or “lobbies” seems so far removed from the online gaming experience that it’s laughable.
But I think it is a good idea. One of the biggest problems with online casinos is that they are in no way connected to the real world. I imagine some of these lobbies could be used to organize casual gaming activities for those who are unable to find enough real-world gaming activity to justify a real casino.
While it’s not specifically designed for online gaming, these lobbies could be used for other online activities too. A lobby could organize a party for friends who are unable to find a real-world venue for gaming. For example, your friends might be playing a game on a server in a lobby, so you could invite them over to play. These parties might be more casual because you’re not dealing with real people just sitting around. The lobby could also be used by businesses to organize meetings.
Maybe you should think about what kind of casino you would like your lobby to be. You might want it to be a high-roller kind of casino. This would make for a much more social atmosphere, and you could have a lot of fun mingling with other people in these “luxury” lounges.
In the world of MMO’s, you might find that a lobby might not be the right place to meet people. A lobby is the place where people play, while a company or an organization might want a more formal setting. A lobby might also be a place where your employees may congregate, but most of them spend their days at your office, or perhaps at home.
MMOs are great for social interaction, but you can only have so many of these things at a time. So maybe you don’t want to have to pay for a whole lobby. You could find a few of these places to meet people in your own home by building your own. There are all sorts of materials you can use to create these lobby foam letters that you can put into the walls of your home.
One of the biggest challenges in building these lobby letters is where to place them, since there are so many kinds of foam letters to choose from and they have to be able to be moved around. The holes would need to be big enough to let any and all of the letters go in, but you can also make them tiny though.
