This is the second book in a series of books about fabric, embroidery, and other crafty things I’ve been doing on my blog. I’ve been making some interesting sewing patterns, so they’re not new to people who’ve seen my blog. The first is an easy one to make yourself with a few supplies and a scrap of fabric. The second is an embroidery pattern I’ve been working on over the last few days.
As you can probably tell from the title, this is a sewing pattern. Ive been doing my best to make things in all kinds of ways, but sewing is definitely not the only thing Ive been doing. Ive been practicing my photography techniques and taking pictures of my sewing projects. If youve been to my site you know that Ive been taking pictures of my sewing projects and posting them to my blog, too.
Ive been taking these photos for a while now, but Ive always wanted to be more organized. Ive been thinking about taking a photography class at a local community college. In the past Ive done it the old-fashioned way, but Ive decided to learn the best ways to take pictures on my own, starting with a small collection of basic cameras. Ive been thinking about taking a few more classes, maybe even take a full-on class in photography.
You can always take a class in photography, but I think the best way to learn the basics is to take simple photographs in a dark room with a cheap and basic camera.
My camera collection is probably a huge list. I have a Pentax K-1, Canon Rebel XS, and a Nikon D3100. The D3100 is the camera I use for all my photography class. The other two cameras are used for all the other things I do with my camera. The K-1 was made for people who really wanted to take picture-perfect portraits. The Rebel XS was made for landscape photographers.
The Rebel XS is quite a nice camera, especially if you don’t want to buy expensive glass. It’s not really a DSLR in my opinion, as that’s a bit of a stretch. The XS is more of an auto-zoom camera that takes a lot of the guesswork out of using a lens.
While the Rebel is definitely a nice auto-zoom camera, it doesn’t have many of the features that a DSLR has. It seems like a nice camera to have, but it is a bit more expensive than the K-1.
The Rebel XS is a much more versatile camera than the Rebel. It is a full manual camera (as opposed to the auto-zoom camera) and can do some amazing things. There are a few things that you can do with the Rebel XS that you cant with the Rebel. In particular, you can adjust the camera’s depth of field to make your portraits look more dramatic.
