Every time I make something with polymer clay, it seems to take forever. I have to make a decision about how much clay I want to use and how many layers I want to use. Do I want to make a few small pieces and wrap it in plastic to protect the clay from the sun, or do I want to make a few large pieces and take them off of the stand while they still have some shine and color? Once I figure all of that out, it is super easy.
You don’t need a lot of clay to make something small and flexible and it won’t break if you drop it (which is a good thing). The best way to make something is to make it, then give it a little time to dry out, then give it a little time to set, then repeat the process.
It will take some practice to learn how to make a small piece of polymer clay that will last through the whole process but if you are willing to experiment with different techniques, you can really make some pretty awesome things.
