On the bright side, now that Valentine’s Day is over, there are plenty of awesome activities to do without the pressures of spending money. While not everyone likes dressing up for their loved ones, there are tons of ways to celebrate (and not) your love, without spending a ton of money.
I know it’s a bit much to expect everyone to dress up, but Valentine’s Day is the one day of the year when you can get away from the pressures of buying clothes, buying jewelry, and buying makeup to just dress up. It’s also a day to be open to your own feelings, which is something I wish I felt more often. While I don’t think you should just celebrate your loved ones’ birthdays, you should embrace your own.
There are a ton of ways to celebrate the holiday without spending a ton of money. You can just look at photos of yourself and your loved one and think about what you would do if you were able to do it yourself. You can also just treat yourself by dressing up in sexy outfits, going out for a fancy dinner on valentine night, and spending a good amount of money on chocolate and flowers.

While I think you can make this work, its not as easy as it seems. Its hard to explain but you really need to start thinking about how your valentines will feel about the other person.
