I can’t hold all these limes. I don’t know what to do with them. All of the sudden, they’re taking over my house! My fridge is full and I’m running out of room in my pantry. What am I going to do? This happens every year around this time when we start eating more Mexican food and margaritas on the rocks than usual.
This year, instead of throwing away all those delicious limes that are about to spoil or tossing them into your drink unpeeled (yuck!), try using a lime slicer so you can get at least one use out of each fruit before it goes bad! It’s a simple tool that will make squeezing juice from your future limes a breeze.
And, as an added bonus, they’re not just for limes! You can also use them to slice up oranges and lemons – because you know we never have enough of those either!
Lime slicers are easy to find at most kitchen stores or online retailers like Amazon. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes so you’ll be able to pick the one that’s perfect for your needs (or give several as gifts). I prefer this model from Kuhn Rikon which is dishwasher-safe too!
I’m going to get myself a lime slicer tomorrow before all my limes start shriveling up on me. Wish me luck!”
Why Can’t I Hold All These Limes
You know what they say, “give limes a chance” Only kidding! But seriously. Limes are one of the most popular fruits in the world for good reason. They’re so juicy and refreshing to drink on their own but also bring some serious flavor when added to other dishes like fish tacos or chicken salad. So why can’t I hold all these limes?
When you buy them at the grocery store, each lime is usually wrapped individually with plastic wrap that gets tangled up as you try to put it in your bag not cool. Plus we need more than just our hands (and patience) when walking around with those bundles of joy by ourselves; without another shopping buddy or two.
