The BAC is a measurement of the amount of alcohol in one’s blood. It can be used to show how drunk someone is, and it can also serve as evidence for DUI offenses. This article discusses whether eating before or while drinking will reduce your BAC levels.

It has been shown that if you eat something with protein (meat), your stomach creates an acid which helps break down the molecules into smaller components. The result? You have less absorption because more time passes between each drink intake than had eaten nothing beforehand. Additionally, when food enters our system, it takes some space up so there’s less room for alcohol to enter a win-win! But don’t forget about drinks containing low amounts of carbohydrates such

We all know that eating and drinking can take the edge off of a night out, but what does it actually do to your blood alcohol content (BAC)? Well, according to research by J.R. Sparks in 2013, you may be able to reduce how quickly your bac rises if you eat before or while drinking. What is happening here though? That’s where chemistry comes into play!

When we digest food our stomach breaks down carbs and sugars with enzymes from hydrochloric acid made in an organ called the pancreas. This process not only makes digestion possible for nutrients like proteins, fats and carbohydrates but also helps to break down alcohol. As your stomach starts breaking down the food, it sends messages of hunger and satisfaction to the brain telling us that we are hungry or full. When you eat before drinking, this usually slows digestion because there is less room for food in your stomach.

By slowing digestion-you’ll have more time passing as enzymes do their job on sugars and carbs which will help with BAC levels since these foods can absorb some of the ethanol from our bloodstream when they come into contact with them! In addition, if you’re feeling a little nauseous after eating it’s recommended by Sparks that you don’t drink anymore until nausea subsides since vomiting could lead to choking hazards.
