The future is always uncertain, but with the help of Vestal Trends we can predict what will be popular in 2022. These are nine trends that will have been around for years before they become mainstream and you should start considering them now.
The Vestal Trends website gives you more information on what these trends will look like and how to start implementing them in your business now.
Flea Markets The fleas of the future are digital, with shoppers looking for vintage items from their past life before uploading them as they find them or sharing links to purchase online. Why search through piles of clothes when a few clicks can have anything delivered straight to your door?
Drone Flying Machines These booming machines take some getting used to but by 2022 it’s estimated that one third of house hold tasks will be completed using drone flying machines which means less pollution due to heavy traffic caused by people driving cars. It also reduces congestion at airports. Now is the time for companies who depend heavily on the transportation of goods to start adjusting their business models and invest in these machines now.
Virtual Reality Experiences You might be wondering if virtual reality experiences will replace real world experience, but for 2022 it’s estimated that they wont have replaced life time memories like outdoor festivals because only a minority of people own VR headsets which is why companies like Best Buy are investing heavily in creating new exciting attractions instead.
Kids Programs The future looks bright with kids programs being more interactive than ever before as children can learn from other kids around the world through internet video conferencing rather than just meeting them offline or reading about them online.
VR Experiences will be more realistic.
By 2022, immersive reality with better graphics and more life like experiences should make it easier for people to connect in virtual worlds which are not limited by time or place. If you’ve ever tried on a VR headset at Best Buy, then you know that these new technologies help create an out of body experience that can’t be matched by viewing through your computer screen alone!
The Vestal and Cardigan will merge into a new hybrid called the V-Cardigan
Belts are now often used as suspenders to keep your pants up, especially in areas that experience earthquakes or high winds.
Belt loops make belts more versatile than ever before!
Pants are also being worn higher on the waistline because of all this movement happening below. The trend is commonly known as ‘high rise.’
Suspender jeans have been around for awhile but they’re becoming mainstream again during 2022. Suspender shorts were popular back in 2020 with kids who wanted their belt buckle visible under their shirts, but adults quickly followed suit when it was seen how cool people looked wearing them over jeans.
Warmer weather means more open shoes, which is why the slipper style shoe has become common. The trend started when designers realized that it was hard to keep your feet warm in a closed toe shoe and so they began making them with openings at the top of the toes for air circulation. Now people are wearing these as their go-to summer footwear because they’re easy on/off and good looking!
Athleisure wear is still going strong but there’s been an evolution in how you dress up your clothes. Fanny packs will be all over this year (a carryover from 2020) but now with belts rather than just tucking them under one side or another like most fanny pack wearers have been doing for the past few years.
We’ve seen a lot of dresses with one strap in recent seasons but now designers are doing new takes on this, too. One example is to add an eyelet trim or lace around the hemline that gives it a slightly different look and feel than just having straps going across your backside.
In 2022 you’ll be seeing more brightly colored denim people will want their clothes to make them stand out!
Denim has always had its own connotations so we’re also expecting sunglasses styles like cat eyes being prominent again as well since they create striking contrasts against all those bright blues, purples, pinks, yellows etc. In fact there’s even already been some collections that have featured all denim looks.
Denim will also be seen in other silhouettes as well, such as dresses which are a more casual take on the trend but can still look just as stunning and stylish. This is perfect for those with shorter height or who want to go outside of their comfort zone by trying something new!
Broken stripes continue to grow in popularity each season, though we predict this pattern may start to become less common because it’s been done so many times before; people are always looking for what’s new after all. We think next year you’ll see even more “striping” come into play anything from horizontal lines throughout different lengths of fabric or vertical ones running up sleeves onto a jacket.
Though we all love to carry our laptop or tablet around with us, it can be irritating to have so much weight on one side of our body when carrying these items (especially if you’re used to a messenger bag). Enter: the weekender bag this stylish and less bulky option is perfect for those who want their tech gear by their side but don’t need to lug them around like they are going off into battle. Some brands even offer inserts that allow you store your electronics within so not only do you get a free hand, but also some extra protection from water spills and coffee spills.
This wardrobe must have has been around for a while, but it’s making a serious comeback! Vests are perfect on their own or as the finishing touch to an outfit since they offer that extra bit of warmth without adding bulkiness. They’re also great at hiding what we might not want seen (like love handles!) and can be made in so many different styles think animal prints, faux fur vests, even sequin covered versions!
