We can’t avoid the idea of sales and marketing as we’re in the sales and marketing business. So, what we can do is to be aware of a few of the things we want to accomplish, and what we want to get from our sales and marketing efforts.

They say something like, “My product solves X problem.” The problem with this is that the problem is not really solved. The question is how do you get the customer to solve that problem.
So the next thing is to know how to do sales funnels. We learned this in the sales and marketing business. So, what we can do is to start a funnel. For example, if you have a marketing email list, and you have a monthly newsletter, a sales funnel would be like sending an email saying, “Hey, here is something you can sign up for as a subscriber. I’ll send you my newsletter right when the newsletter is ready, you can get it there.
