My name is Justin and I’m super lucky to be working on a marketing campaign for a company that is based out of Chicago. I’ve been a part of the organization for a little over two years now and I’ve been involved in the growth of a couple of marketing campaigns so I’ve been around the idea of marketing as long as I can remember. I love marketing, but I also love marketing, so I feel like I know what I’m talking about.
The point of marketing is to get people to buy more stuff. Marketing can be used for any company, just make sure you have the right people in the right positions. That is, a marketing manager or general manager should be someone who can take the company’s product, market it, and bring in the right amount of money.
Marketing is also a tricky business because you never know what your customer is going to buy. That person could be a customer who will buy 1,000 times what they buy the first time they see it, or they could be a customer who will take their first hundred pieces of jewelry off the shelf. In marketing, this could be something as simple as writing copy for a client. Once you find these people, you can then look for the company that can help you in your niche and do what you do best: make money.
It’s kind of like the “you can’t be an actor unless you know where you’re going to be shot in the back” rule for most actors. It’s something that everyone knows. And because they don’t have a clear plan, they don’t know what they don’t know. They just keep making mistakes, which means that they don’t have a plan.
A big mistake most marketers make when creating newsletters is to send out a bunch of email about a business without actually doing anything with it. This happens all the time, and a lot of it is completely avoidable. Just make sure that you follow up with the customer right away. It’s very easy to forget when you’re busy, and it’s very easy to forget when youre on vacation. So try to do as much follow up as possible.
